Non-vaccine COVID treatments

The press has focused on vaccines to treat COVID, but since the beginning of 2020 their has been massive investment in medical science to develop treatments for COVID as well as other viral illnesses. Over time, this seems likely to spawn amazing new "solutions" to disease and other medical problems.

Here are some of those things:-

  • Is it too simplistic to hope for a "silver bullet"?   Superficially this article sounds interesting.

    • "How a single pill home cure for Covid could be available this year"

      • "Trials of first pill specifically designed to stop SARS-CoV-2 are under way at Pfizer buildings in United States and Belgium"

      • "The molecule being tested is a bespoke antiviral codenamed PF 07321332. Classed as a "protease inhibitor", it has been formulated to attack the "spine" of the SARS-Cov-2 virus and stop it replicating in our noses, throats and lungs. It was protease inhibitors that turned the tide on the spread of HIV in the UK and around the world."
